Publishing Law

Publishing law focuses on copyright and the contracts and industry practices that allow books and magazines (online or printed) to reach their intended audience.  We work with a number of authors and publishers to handle legal issues such as:

  • Negotiating author publishing contracts
  • Preparing standard publishing agreements for small publishing houses
  • Reviewing online publishing terms for new authors
  • Analyzing e-publishing trends

Our principal, Nicholas Wells, has authored more than a dozen non-fiction book–including several best-selling textbooks–for major publishers like Cengage, John Wiley, Pearson, and others.
